This website provides material to supplement A History of Eighteenth-Century German Porcelain: The Warda Stevens Stout Collection, by Christina H. Nelson and Letitia Roberts.
Current materials available are a Glossary of German and English terms relating to porcelain production, and a small but growing collection of Biographies detailing the lives of workers in the eighteenth-century German porcelain industry. The biographies are being entered in random order; you will find both important and less important names in the current selection.
Planned future additions to this site include provenances of objects comprising the Stout Collection. We also hope to add other features of interest to the international porcelain community, such as glossaries of porcelain terminology in additional languages, short articles on specialized subjects, and a Forum where researchers may post inquiries.
